About the event
Caring for our LGBTQ+ Patients
An educational session for health care providers.
The Kootenai Health Medical Staff Well Being Committee is launching a new series of educational opportunities for health care providers. The sessions will share best practices for caring for a variety of cultural, minority, and racial populations. Each hour-long presentation will examine the role of unconscious bias and help identify tangible and improved ways care providers can meet patients’ individual needs. The first session, offered in collaboration with the North Idaho Pride Alliance will present: “Caring for our LGBTQ+ Patients”
Care providers can receive one CME for the session, but individuals who wish to attend for their own information can view the presentation through the North Idaho Pride Alliance’s Facebook Live channel.
