The North Idaho Pride Alliance Board of Directors is proud to announce that we’ve elected Sam Koester as the new President of the Board. Sam is relatively new to the Board, joining in January 2021, but has quickly gotten more involved and taken up leadership responsibilities with many of our CDA4Pride 2021 events. Sam joins us with over 6 years of event planning and administrative skills.
Sam commented, “We have a huge amount of love in our community, and on our board is a motivated, passionate and diverse group of Directors. I’m so excited and honored to be involved. We’re ready to help foster a climate of love and acceptance in North Idaho.”
“My focus for NIPA in the next couple of months, and my term as President of the Board, will be to focus on the organizational and financial long-term stability of the organization as we continue to support advocacy in our community. NIPA is a fantastic organization that helps so many people in our area. We will continue to host entertaining and educational events, both virtually and in person, for our LGBTQIA+ family. We hope to see you at our events.”
Sam is also no stranger to nonprofit groups. Prior to moving up to Coeur d’Alene, he also served as the Social Media Coordinator and Secretary of the Moscow Vandal Booster Chapter and the Marketing and Communications Coordinator for the Moscow Young Professionals.
