I have over 11 years experience working with teens and their families, and young adults struggling with mental health disorders; primarily in residential, transitional and aftercare settings. Over time I have come to enjoy counseling with adults and couples as well, equipping them with healthy coping and communication skills, as well as tangible, sustainable tools to manage anxiety, depression, and family conflict. I grew up in north Idaho and received a BA in Psychology at University of Hawaii at Hilo in 2008. From a young age I knew I wanted to serve others, and spent time volunteering in Cambodia as well as at a non-profit within the Seattle school system. I went on to obtain my Masters in Social Work at Boise State University in 2013. When I’m not serving my clients I’m most likely traveling abroad, learning from other cultures, or adventuring outside doing things like hiking, camping or gardening. My partner Tyson, and doxie Mercedes, are not far behind. Mercedes often comes to the office to work with clients so let me know if you would like her to be a part of you session!
